Amy’s practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, securities litigation and complex civil litigation.  Amy is a former federal prosecutor with significant investigative and trial experience.  While an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Amy was a member of the Office’s Special Prosecutions Division where she investigated and prosecuted cases involving white collar criminal matters including public corruption, bribery, extortion, federal election crimes, mail and wire fraud, mortgage fraud, illegal wiretapping and tax violations.   Before joining the Office’s Special Prosecutions Division, Amy investigated and prosecuted a variety of matters, including health care fraud, credit card fraud, bank robberies and firearms violations.  Due to her prosecution of a case involving violations of federal election and tax law, Amy received the Special Achievement Award from the U.S Attorney for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to becoming an Assistant United States Attorney, Amy worked at a boutique litigation firm where she handled a wide range of matters, including litigation involving complex commercial matters, white collar criminal matters, securities violations and False Claims Act violations.  Before that, Amy worked at an international law firm where she handled complex commercial and environmental matters. 

Amy also completed a clerkship with the Honorable Jaynee LaVecchia, New Jersey Supreme Court, as well as an internship with the Honorable John W. Bissell, Chief Judge, United States District Court.

Amy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2005, where she was a Senior Editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law and a Chair of the Moot Court Board.  Amy received her undergraduate degree phi beta kappa, summa cum laude and with Departmental Honors in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2002.   

Amy is a member of the Federal Bar Association.  In addition, she is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York.
